Batching EDI Documents BizTalk 2009 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to batch my 837 edi documents using batch setting in parties. I create a batch, set a filter for the receive port name. I set it to create a document every 20 interchanges. In the send port I filter by destination party name and to be batched “false”.

When I drop a file it creates the batched documents and the individual messages from the original file. All I want is the batched documents.

    Thanks for the help

  • Hi Brad

The only thing you need to check is that the filter in send port.

    1. It should not have BTS.ReceivePortName==YourReceivePort

    2. DestinationPartyName and ToBeBatched filter is applied. Just make sure the conditions are having "and" between them.

Remove all other filters and it should only produce one file.

  • Hi, Brad.

I had a similar problem with an 810.  I had to send the individual files to the BizTalk EDI Application and create a receive port to batch the files.  Then I created a send port on the BizTalk EDI Application to output the batched file.

  • Hi,

You can not set Number of interchanges you can set only number of Transaction set in group or in Interchange.

And I did not get your problem clearly. Can you please explain it more.

    Thanks
