Sharepoint + Welcome Page + SSL RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm quite new to the IT world and also new to Sharepoint.

My task was to create a document site where users can upload and download docs...seemed simple enough...

I got it all working quite well and even went the extra step and converted it to a publishing site so I could change the welcome page to what it would be if I actually clicked Docs.

Now I'm told to configure it with SSL, again...should be easy.  I created/imported the certs, then forced to SSL and when I tried to login, there was a problem.  Long story short, it was redirecting me to the http://docs.company.com/Shared%20Documents/Forms/AllItems.aspx i told it to go to.  Since this was non ssl it gave me a 403 error.

So now, I can't change the url to https://docs.company.com/... because its telling me its not in the site collection.  I can't seem to revert back to whatever the default welcome page was, and the SSL won't work because of that.

Any ideas on what to do?
