    hello 

    my name is varun. I want to use IMAP and POP3.
    before I did work on java and i know java provide "JAVA MAIL API" . my problem is i don't know xaml or win8 development tools is provide similar things like javamailAPI???

    any ideas of how to download email attachments??

    there isnt something in the framework. so you will need to find a 3th party library or program something yourself.
