Frustrated Installing .NET Framework 4.0 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've ran into problems installing .NET Framework 4.0 on my Windows 7 64-bit machine.

I've looked through some of the posts here regarding installation issues,
so before I post my installation log, I would like to clarify that before this, I have:

    1. tried installing with the .NET Framework 4.0 web installer.
Ran into "The specified service does not exist as an installed service" error.

    2. tried installing with the .NET Framework 4.0 standalone installer.
Same thing, ran into "The specified service does not exist as an installed service" error.

And between attempts I have cleared my Temp and Microsoft.NET folders, all to no avail.
Please enlighten me, thanks a million in advance.

    Here's my latest installation log
