Are localized descriptions and feature lists required for every supported language? RRS feed

  • Our app uses many common strings across all our supported platforms, and we had crowdsourced translations from our own customer base over the lifetime of the product, so it was little effort to support localization in the Windows Store version of the app.  However translating marketing materials (descriptions, feature lists, etc.) into 59 supported languages and 66 locales would be a huge task at this point, and would delay publication of the app by months.  Are localized versions of descriptions for each supported locale really required before we can publish the app?  What about screen shots?  Is our only alternative to remove localization altogether, just so we can get the app published in a timely fashion, then add it back one language at a time when we have translations ready?
