looks good but not very impressive... Metro UI Apps sometimes not responding like after clicking it green windows appears for a long time... and what is the use of Metro UI Apps when user dont have internet connection ... login page needs to be more interactive... user interface should be more interactive and response act... This is ok as its just developer version... I strongly suggests microsoft that Please take time and Build real next generation operating system which really helpful for all computer lovers and please develop it as it beats mac/apple UI interface and note that your apps should helpful for non-internet connection guys.. orelse it is same like windows 7!!

Some metro apps would work without internet connection, it is relay on how application being develop and is up to developer to make it offline or online or both. About issue that you have with not response, I suggest go to control panel and action center and run maintenance task and also update Windows 8 and then restart it and if there was any issue to send report please do so.
