A first chance exception of type 'System.ServiceModel.CommunicationException' occurred in System.Runtime.DurableInstancing.dll RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, everyone.

I am building an application following the publish subscrib pattern.

It's kind of an exercise, it was supposed to be simple, because  I am planning a more complex code, eventually.

    I have 3 projects: a client, a wcf and a proxy.

The client has a very simple screen with a label where I have, for instance, a real time watch.

The WCF is the Publisher, which sends the correct hour to the client, which subscribes for this service.

The problem is that when I run the application I got  this error on the title of my post. I cannot find what is wrong.

I am not very skilled in C#, and I would appreciate any help.

  • A communication error generally indicates a bad URL or some other failure talking to the remote endpoint.  I would verify your config settings.  But the error you mentioned is a first chance exception.  In general you won't see these exceptions as the debugger doesn't notify you of them.  It only notifies you if the exception isn't handled by your code and then it is a second chance exception.
