Windows server 2003 https connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I have some trouble with https connection on windows server 2003.

I try to access to an web service with ssl

    - When type the uri (https://...) of the web service in IE : no problem

    - When I try to access this uri through C# code I have the following error message " The underlying connection was closed: Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel."

I saved the certificate on the local machine.

I try to grant IIS_WPG user for the appropriate certificate with WinHttpCertCfg.exe but I have the other error " Error: Access was not successfully obtained for the private key. This can only be done by the user who installed the certificate".

I can't understand this error because I'm a member of administrator group on the server and I installed this certificate.

    Any help will be appreciable,

    Thks in advance

  • I guess this question is not specific to the Connected Services Framework, whereas is this forum dedicated for the queries and discussion on CSF. You have posted your query on the wrong forum. I'd suggest you to post the query on correct forum and close this open thread.

Regarding your issue, have you installed the Root CA of your certificate in the Trusted Roots store of the machine?
