How to set the default page size in Blend 3 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

Am a Windows Forms developer working newly in Blend.

When I add a new user control in Blend to a project, it always comes up with a designWidth and Height of 640 x 480.  Is there a way to specify this to be 800 x 600 without having to go in and change it by hand each time?

    Thanks,

    Greg

  • Hi Greg,
I think modifying the default templates (project / item templates) is not a very good idea. Blend supports custom item templates, so you can instead copy the UserControl template to "%Documents\Expression\Blend 3\ItemTemplates" and modify it.

  • I found one solution to this which is to go into the templates folder and change the mainpage.xaml to the Height and Width I want and it will then show up next time I create the project.
