Exceptions on November, Monday 23 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi, we are using a SQL Azure database from some Worker Roles on Windows Azure.
On November, Monday 23, between 19.35 UTC and 20.08 UTC we noticed some problems accessing our SQL Azure database.

The exception suggests issues related to the login process, but I think this is a little bit strange, because we didn't change the connection string, and all works fine before 19.35 UTC and after 20.08 UTC, without changing anything.

Here is the report of the exception :

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the login process. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.)    at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionPool.GetConnection(DbConnection owningObject)    at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionFactory.GetConnection(DbConnection owningConnection)    at System.Data.ProviderBase.DbConnectionClosed.OpenConnection(DbConnection outerConnection, DbConnectionFactory connectionFactory)    at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open()    at
    ...   --- CUT ---

(I cut the part of the stack trace related to our code because it's not relevant)
