System.Speech: DictationGrammar and custom grammar together? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I'm working with System.Speech platform with DictationGrammar. This works pretty well, but if I use a foreign word or a name, does not recognize so well. My idea is to build a grammar for these words. My questions are:

Can I use the two grammars at once?

Can I build the grammar in xml rather than in the code? How do you do?

    Thank you!

  • Hi Jon,

    Welcome the MSDN Forum.

    I am afraid not.

Please take a look at this documentation: Create Grammars Using XML

And there are some other related information for your reference: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh361633.aspx

The System.Speech.Recognition namespace provides functionality with which you can acquire and monitor speech input, create speech recognition grammars that produce both literal and semantic recognition results, capture information from events generated by the speech recognition and, and configure and manage speech recognition engines.

I hope this will be helpful.

    Best regards,
