  • Question

  • While transferring files using Hyper Terminal software, it gives wrong data to driver(Driver taken from WinDDK(7600.16385.1)). Some extended ASCII characters are displayed(ie last bit set for some characters).

    File Content:
    Tx : aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
    Rx : aaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáaáa

ASCII value for character 'a' is '0x61' and character 'á' is '0xE1'(Last bit was set). I printed those ASCII characters in my driver. So driver itself receives wrong character from HyperTerminal application.

Kindly give solution as soon as possible.

Answers

  • this is a bug in your driver, not the app. you need to debug it.
