IIS's Search Engine Optimization Toolkit and MVC RRS feed

    Hello,

I have been trying the new Search Engine Optimization Toolkit of IIS with an MVC 1.0 application and I always get the following error:

The page with URL "http://localhost:57805/album/show/5" can also be accessed by using URL "http://localhost:57805/album/show/6".
Search engines identify unique pages by using URLs.  When a single page can be accessed by using any one of multiple URLs, a search engine assumes that there are multiple unique pages. Use a single URL to reference a page to prevent dilution of page relevance. You can prevent dilution by following a standard URL format.

Does that mean that I should use the album name as the action parameter instead of the id?

But consider the album name is not unique ... Or that the album name contains letters like "ã, á, etc..."

Anyway, what is the best way to avoid this violation in ASP.NET MVC?

    Thank You,

    Miguel

Usually IIS SEO says that if the HTML is equal. Please verify that

    http://localhost:57805/album/show/5

    and

    http://localhost:57805/album/show/6

    have some different content!

    and

    have some different content!

They have! On "album/show" view I display a flash movie but there is also a text with around 150 words.

And each text is different from Album to Album.

The text in http://localhost:57805/album/show/5 is completly different from the text in http://localhost:57805/album/show/6.

That is what I find strange.

    Any idea?

    Thanks,

    Miguel

If you remove the flash movie and re-run SEO, it gives you the same message?

Yes, I left only menu and logo, both common to the page whatever the id, and the text, different from album to album.

I still have the same violation.
