  • Question

  • How does one delete a project so that it doesn't show up in the Recent Projects window pane?
I would like these to go away  how would I go about removing a project after creating it fully.

    thanks,
    Jonathan

  • Hi

You can remove or edit the recent projects information in the registry key according to your needs.

If you are using VS 2008, the information is saved at the registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\9.0\ProjectMRUList.
    For VS 2005, it's saved at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\ProjectMRUList.

    Thanks.

  • Figo Fei,
Much appreciated that did the trick. It was annoying seeing more and more projects in the recent area.
It removed them without any issues.

    thanks,
