  • Hi Sqlstar007,

    Thanks for your question and other partners’ replies. As we know, every report has one interactive size and one page size.

    For interactive size, it designed and optimized for screen-based viewing, so the engine ends up dynamically changing the size of the "page" on the screen in order to provide the best experience.

    For page size, it is the physical Page Height and Page Width of the report.

    When preview the report, it uses interactive size. When clicked on the "print preview" button, it uses page size meanwhile compares to the paper size of the printer, finally, display the actual pages number when you printing the report.

    Thanks,
    Sharp

  • Hi sqlstar07,

    Your my first glance will be to report properties (Width, Height, ..... )

    Try to change it (reduce) and see the effect, you can see the effect by using "Print Preview" option under BIDS.

    Are you exporting to particular format?

    Thanks

  • Sqlstar07,

    Please check if your report is following these standards:

    1) Go to properties and select Report

    width= 8.5in and height=11in . (Portrait format)

    Margins: 0.1,0.1,0.1,0.1in

    Go to properties and select Body

    width= 8in and height=10.5in

    But, if your reports are not able to fit into this,

    2) Go to properties and select Report

    width=11in and height=8.5in (Landscape format)

    Margins: 0.1,0.1,0.1,0.1in

    Go to properties and select Body

    width= 10.5in and height= 8in

    Note:

    (Body Width + Left margin + Right margin) <= (Page width)

    Regards

    Manoj
