How to use Windows.Networking.Proximity.PeerFinder.Start(String)

Can someone help give some information on how to use "PeerFinder.Start(String)"? The documantation says that "Delivers a message to a peer app on a proximate device".  1) Does this mean data exchange without the requirement of connection? 2) How does the peer get this message? event? subscription? Thanks.

The message is delivered when a proximity (NFC) tap occurs. It is delivered via the Activated event. See information here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.applicationmodel.activation.launchactivatedeventargs.aspx, the string you pass to PeerFinder.Start(string) is delivered to the activated app via the Arguments property.
