LoadSaveReportException : Invalid Report file path while using dataset and source RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear All,

    I am new to .net in crystal report aspects.
    I was trying to add a report to my project using data set.

    I am getting the error : LoadSaveReportException : Invalid Report file path while using dataset and source

    These are the code I am using:
    ----------------------------------

    prs_lib.ComboData objParam = (prs_lib.ComboData)this.cmbnats.Items[this.cmbnats.SelectedIndex];

    sqlselect = "SELECT * from prs_vreg_period where vcap_date between '" +DateTime.Parse(TxtRepItem1.Text).ToString("MM/dd/yyyy")+"' and '"+DateTime.Parse(TxtRepItem2.Text).ToString("MM/dd/yyyy")+ "' AND vcountry_id = " + objParam.Value +" ORDER BY vnat_number";

    DataSet prsimageset = new DataSet();

    OleDbDataAdapter prsadapter = new System.Data.OleDb.OleDbDataAdapter(sqlselect,pr_logon.db.prscon);

    OleDbCommandBuilder prscommandb = new OleDbCommandBuilder(prsadapter);

    prsadapter.Fill(prsimageset, "PRS Images");

    //oRpt.Load("C:/sheejas/prs/prs/prs/reports/regperiod.rpt");

    //oRpt.Load("C:\\sheejas\\prs\\prs\\prs\\reports\\regperiod.rpt");

    oRpt.SetDataSource(prsimageset);

    crystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = oRpt;

    this.crystalReportViewer1.Size = new System.Drawing.Size(576, 349);

    rpt.AutoScaleBaseSize = new System.Drawing.Size(5, 13);

    rpt.ClientSize = new System.Drawing.Size(576, 349);

    rpt.Controls.Add(this.crystalReportViewer1);

    rpt.ShowDialog();

    --------------------------

    Any other steps I have to do before this ?
    Is there any error in the code?
    How I can solve this error ?

    Please let me know through email : sheeja_aj@hotmail.com

    Thanks in Advance.

  • Hello Sheeja,

    I'm not sure if the code is complete, but it looks like you don't set the oRpt.Load at all in the code (I see some commented out).

    Can you confirm that you are setting the oRpt properly to an existing report that uses the dataset?

    You can refer to the Walkthrough pdf for more help in getting started with Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2.
