Help me with Xamarin

Question

Hello, I installed VS2017, and I am creating an app for android with Xamarin, when entering the Layout> main.axml and trying to drag a tool from the bar, it does not appear on the screen, however in the property bar if it appears, I do not see her.
Maybe someone can help me in this task, if it is necessary to put a panel of work or something.
