How to enable Kinect depth image near mode in Matlab? RRS feed

  • I'm using Matlab along with Kinect sensor version 1 to detect the 3D location of one or more objects. to do this I used Matlab function that extracts point cloud from the kinect color image and kinect depth image.

    I used the code explained in this link:

    I just need to enable kinect near mode to be able to detect closer images in range of 50 cm - 80 cm

    Any idea on how to activate near mode through matlab?
    or if i have to modify the sdk itself then can you give me detailed guild on how to do it as I'm very new to kinect
