Yes, I read on the forums about this error a lot and I tried almost everything. I ran the clean ups, registry revivers, windows updates and so on. I am not good with these kind of things so I am sure this log above may tell you guys something that I don't know. Please help.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Unfortunately, the error shown " Installation failed with error code: (0x80070643), "Fatal error during installation." is a generic message. We will need to see the full log set to help.

Please provide complete logs as follows:

Collect your full install logs as follows:

Please collect your install logs with this:

After you run Collect.exe, you'll find vslogs.cab in your %temp% directory. Please upload vslogs.cab to a public site, like SkyDrive, and post the link here.

  • Hi,

According to the first installation failure, we know the installation of .NET 4 failed.

1.Please download a fresh copy of the standalone installer for .NET Framework 4.0:

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=17718

Before running the installer, please take the actions below.

2.Look in the directory and you will note that some subdirectories with lots of old dot net 4 files. You can rename the directory assembly2 and try to install Dot Net 4. (You can't delete the assembly directory unless you take ownership of it but you can rename it.) Also, clear your %temp% directory and disable your AV software.

    3. Run the standalone installer from step 1 As Administrator.
