EnterpriseAssignedAccess app product ID issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    OS: WindowsPhone10 version 1511, build 10.0.10586.29

    I believe the EnterpriseAssignedAccess CSP documentation isn't quite clear on how to specify apps for which there's a product Id that isn't in the legacy GUID format. For example, here's how to disable WhatsApp:

    <Application productId="{218a0ebb-1585-4c7e-a9ec-054cf4569a79}" />

    That works, however, for apps such as VLC for Windows Store, there is no legacy phone id (GUID) available. How would one specify such apps in the lockdown.xml file? What I attempted so far didn't work, .e.g,

    <Application productId="{9WZDNCRFJ3T0}" aumid="VideoLAN.VLCforWindows8_paz6r1rewnh0a"/>

    Also, there's a list of Product IDs in Windows 10 Mobile in the EnterpriseAssignedAccess CSP document, but it's unclear how the AUMIDs are formed. For example, where does the Skype.AppId come from in the specified Microsoft.SkypeApp_kzf8qxf38zg5c!Skype.AppId in the documentation?

    How do we find out what the AUMID is for an app in the Windows Store?
