No output in Output window RRS feed

  • Question

  • Debug.Writeline is not sending it's output to the Output window. As a stopgap I've added a TraceListener that sends things to the Console and all my Debug.WriteLine statements are indeed showing up there. But what's wrong with the Output window?

  • Hello,

Is the ComboBox in the Output window set to - Show output from: Debug?

  • If you're using the VB Profile, output may be showing up in the Immediate Window. There is a Tools-Options setting (Tools | Options | Debugging | Redirect all Output Window text to the Immediate Window) that controls whether output goes to the Output window or the Immediate window.

  • Yes, that's the problem. I've changed it now.
