  • Question

  • Hi,

I get the following error, when I run the application. it is not istalled yet.

Unable to activate Windows Store app 'aa7e16fc-b1f5-4e56-b63d-4bb60f01facf_egcw8c6q3nxbw!App'. The activation request failed with error 'The application cannot be started because it is currently updating'.

Any Idea, how to fix this?

    Thanks

  • Hi Lee d,

I'm not experienced with such error message, but it seems the app is still updating or downloading? If the app is not installed how could you run it?

but I do found a similar post might be the solution for your question, take a look if this can help you: http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-8-1-from-Windows-Store/Skype-not-responding/td-p/1306062

  • Could you provide more information for us, such as did you tried with a new project and if the same error display or are you using some specific code that cause such error? You could also try to delete bin, obj folders, and rebuild your app again.
