  • Hi,

What is the version of your Office application? How do you publish your add-in, by ClickOnce or Windows Installer?

According to the exception, VSTOInstaIIer.exe.Config cant be found. Normally, it doesn’t exist by default.

    Try the following steps

1)Download VSTO Runtime Redistributable from here, the package is named as vstor_redist.exe

    2)Open C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0 (if you cant find the folder, try C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VSTO\10.0)

    3)Rename the VSTOInstaIIer.exe.Config as VSTOInstaller.exe.Config.old

    4)Install the vstor_redist.exe

Besides, you can check the similar thread here to get more information about VSTOInstaIIer.exe.Config.

  • Hello,

Did you create an MSI installer? Do you have Business Applications references in your add-in?

Anyway, make sure that you did all the steps described in the Deploying an Office Solution by Using Windows Installer article.
