Resource getting unexpected error whe trying to login RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 1 user that is getting "an unexpected error has occurred" when trying to login. I am the administrator and can act as him without any issues as well as another team member.

He cannot login on my system, receives the same error. I have removed and added his rights to resync his account. Even gave him admin rights and same error.

This is what I am seeing in the Logs. I do not know what else to do to resolve this issue.

  • Try the following

    1) Have user try login from another computer.

    2) Is user in domain?  Is there a forest with different domains?

    3) Can you log in on users computer?

  • User cannot login from another computer. He tried on my system and got same error.

I went to try on his but because he's getting the error I cannot "Sign in as different user." We are synced with AD so he automatically is logged in when he opens the link.

Yes he is in the Domain, and only 1

  • Has the user ever logged into PWA?  Is this the first time?

Do you have any custom web parts on the page?

Is can you try accessing other pages, ie, Project Center, Resource Center, etc

It looks like an issue with Timesheets (last error).  Has any of the permissions changed?

If you give him ADMIN rights in PWA.  Can he log in?

  • He cannot access any pages at all. (home, timesheets, projects)

No permissions have changed and he is the only one that is having an issue.

I previously stated I gave him admin rights and he still gets error. I have removed all access and gave them back to him and still nothing. We have not had any errors with the AD sync either.

BTW...He is overseas and is using Citrix to login. We have just done a complete refresh of his Citrix account and still same error.

  • Really sounds like Citrix is the problem.   Citrix locks down the system quite a bit.

Have you tested if user can login without going thru Citrix?   If you can find a scenario for user to login in without Citrix, then this isolate where the problem may be coming from.
