should DB2 adapter's schema’s fields be attribute or element ? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am working with BizTalk 2010. I have used the DB2 Adapter Wizard to create the connection to DB2 that sends a select query I enter. It generated a schema having attribute fields based upon the query’s returned information.

I need to map from this schema to another schema. Should this other schema’s fields be attribute or element based?

How does either choice affect mapping considerations?

  • If it generated attributes, this sounds normal. I am not sure if there is a way to have it generate an element based schema. I think mapping can handle either type, this should not affect your map.

    Thanks,

  • Hi ,

It can be either way depending on your requirement.

    It would not affect mapping.
