Datafactory : create blob folder after delete RRS feed

  • Question

  • As we know there is a activity call "Delete"

If I specified the folder "/folderA/subfolderA"  recursively it will also delete the whole folder  "/folderA/subfolderA"

as I would only like to delete the subsub folders.

    "/folderA/subfolderA/subsubfolderA/…."

    "/folderA/subfolderA/subsubfolderC/….".....

    "/folderA/subfolderA/subsubfolderZ/….".....

Any way to perform it ?

  • When the folder contents are deleted, the folder is also deleted. We can't have an empty folder in Blob Storage.

You will have to find some workaround to retain the folders.

For example - Have a dummy temp file below way OR regenerate/copy it again once folders are deleted.

If you have a file.tmp like below, it will delete only 3 subsub folders in your case.
