  • I just released a free version of my Treeview Control Extension.  You can download it from the Visual Studio Gallery.  Search for Trial Treeview Control or use this link:

    http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/17921a7d-4c4e-4141-93f5-45db5713558d

It is used in a similar manner to the LightSwitch list and there is a detailed tutorial available on how to use it on my web site.

Also have an Advanced Treeview available on my web site http://www.vblightswitch.com/

    Good Luck

EDIT:  The Trial Treeview has been removed from the Gallery.  Check out our Ultimate Treeview Control.

  • Dave - Following the above link to download your Trial Treeview Control tells me:

This item is not yet published.

I am very interested in your project.  Let me know if there is a way I could give it a test drive.

  • Trent,

Thank you for your interest in the Trial Treeview Control.  I have removed the Trial Treeview in favor of a new feature rich version of the control:

    Ultimate Treeview Control.

In addition to the basic Treeview functions, this control offers drag and drop, Checkboxes, Auto-Edit, and Many-To-Many relationship management.  It sells for a nominal charge.

  • Dave,

I've purchased your control ... it looks perfect for what I am trying to do ... except I am not having any luck using it with LightSwitch 2012 RC.  I have been able to update several other extension I've authored to work with 2012 RC with very little effort.  Any chance of sharing the source or providing a 2012 version of the control.

    Thanks,

    Trent

  • Trent,

Thanks for trying the new control.  Sorry you encountered problems.  I have tested it with VS 2012 RC, but may not have tested the same scenario you are using.  Please let me know the issue you're having and I'll see if I can reproduce and fix it.  You can email me directly with any updates and I'll post the final results so others can know the resolution.

    Thanks,

    Dave

  • Apparently, LightSwitch was hanging when Trent tried to navigate to a screen that included the Treeview control.  A new version of the extension fixed the issues Trent was having.  If anyone else experiences issues, please email me directly.

    Thanks,

    Dave
