Data source Oracle RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,
I want to do a report with Oracle data, but copying the query that I built with Oracle Discoverer tool I always the same error as if it proves impossible to interpret it. The SQL syntax is correct, simple and standard.
I try to build a simple query with the query builder in SSRS and the same data source and I have no error.
I tried to create an ODBC connection, copy the same statement and import data into Excel 2003 and everything works.
Is there some special features for accessing Oracle data?
Do you have information on using SSRS with Oracle DB?
    Thank you.

  • Hi,

Could you please provide the error message you met here? You may use OLE DB data source type, but the data processing extension OLE DB for Oracle does not support the following Oracle data types: BLOB, CLOB, NCLOB, BFILE, UROWID.

About how to access Oracle data source in Reporting Services, please refer to this KB: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/834305

    Hopefully this helps.
