Merge Replication issues in sql server 2008 RRS feed

  • Hi all,

    after configure the merge replication i got one Error, how to solve this error please tell me.

    Error messages:
    The merge process was unable to deliver the snapshot to the Subscriber. If using Web synchronization, the merge process may have been unable to create or write to the message file. When troubleshooting, restart the synchronization with verbose history logging and specify an output file to which to write. (Source: MSSQL_REPL, Error number: MSSQL_REPL-2147201001)

  • if you are using pull subscriptions you need to make your snapshot folder a unc path which the pull subscriber service account has rights to read and list the files and folders. This will likely be your SQL Server Agent account on your subscriber.

     

    if you are using a push subscription your distribution/merge agent does not have read and list the files and folders for your snapshot folder.
