People are talking about .NET 5 in the future, is that true? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I heard some people talking about .NET 5 and just wondering if this is actually going to happen?

In the near future, we no longer describe the framework as ".NET Framework", ".NET Core" and all will be renamed as ".NET 5" and this will make all people to understand the trend more easily.

    Is that true?

  • Does that mean apps (e.g. WPF) may run on Mac / Linux ?

    Hi iHandler,

On the announcement of .NET 5, it is yes. But, for the real features, we would know that after releasing the .NET 5.

    Best Regards,
