Error message

Hi,

I am in need of some help.

I have this error message:

The file or directory C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\SL\DL2\SoftwareLicensing\f50d9dc2-15b0-49e7-b9e3-94bbf77638ad_met.xml is corrupt and unreadable.

Please run the Chkdsk utility. 

I ran the Chkdsk utility and nothing happend. I tried to delete the file, and it said it was no longer there.

I removed my visual studio & my Sql server and my Expression studio, and still cannot get to this phatom file.

Does anyone have any ideas?

What is that file used for?

Can you move on without it?

I think it is used for a database, but I'm not positive.

I removed all the programs, and now when I go to put back on the expression studio it gives the error message and says the installation fails, and won't put back on the web design.
