Excel (Office 365) changes font and row height automatically and destroys template layout RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

    here's my problem description:

    * Creating (empty) Excel file (Win10 Eng, Office 365 Eng). The default font is "Body Font"(File -> Options -> General) => Calibri

    * Opening this file on Win10 Jpn, Office 365 Jpn => The font gets substituted by Yu Gothic, the row height increases from 15 to 18.75. I think this happens because Yu Gothic is the Body Font on the Jpn system

    * This also happens to embedded Workbooks in Word templates. The layout of the templates gets destroyed because the table size increases

So why is Excel exchanging the font since O365? This was not till Office 2016.
