  • You might be able to run the installer during Pass 7. I have a couple examples of how to do this for java runtime and Firefox browser:

  • Very handy information to have in as far as additional software is concerned and it does work at establishing a working MSXML 4.0 component.

    Honestly, not as elegant as I would have liked though, in as far as adding it as a template item would be nicer or just having it as a Compatibility Component or Update (as we saw with the test Updates under RC).

    Especially considering it's 2 DLL files and one INF file, if I knew how to build the manifest files SHA result, I could make a component .cab dir into the DS directly for the component.

    But again, the method works, thank you for the prompt reply Sean. I've noted your work in XPe and it was always helpful.
