Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error (WMP) RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've searched this forum and others for help with this problem.

When ever I have streaming media thats uses wmp on all browsers (Opera, Firefox, IE)

the media doesnt play and it looks like this

    http://www.xmgimg.com/uploads/53467e5074.jpg

When ever I close the window or tab, go back or anything to get rid of that page that has WMP on it it crashes the browser and I get this error

    http://www.xmgimg.com/uploads/90152012a1.jpg

Ive searched the web without an answer I dont know what to do besides reformat my HD. I have all updates possible. I havent done anything that could have caused this with the exception of a reg cleaner. Thats the only thing that I can think of. If someone could provide an answer that would be appreated.

    -edit

I should also point out that WMP is no problem when it is running outside the browser. It is only when it is streaming media.

  • You may want to post this question won the Windows Media Player forums, not the Visual Studio forums as these are for answering questions about VS and programming and it is unlikely the people here will have an answer to your question.

    http://support.microsoft.com/newsgroups/

Then go to the Windows Media Player group English->Original List->Windows Media->Windows Media Player.

Also, your second link is broken and the first one displays no error message.

  • the first link shows what the streaming wmp looks like.

The second link wants to add '[/img' for some reason... The picture says...

    'Runtime error!

    C:\Program Files\Opera\Opera.exe

    abnormal termination program'

Sorry if this is in the wrong area i googled 'Visual C++ Runtime Library error' and it brought me to this froum so I figured this would be the place to put it.
