EvtDeviceD0Entry function called twice RRS feed

  • Hi ,


    when i try to install my driver using devcon install command.I see from the trace this EvtDeviceD0Entry function is calle twice

    and in the device mananger i get two instances of the driver one without yellow bang and another with yellow.

    Can anyone please guide me why this is happening

  • if this is a driver for real hardware (or already enumerated by the system), you want to use devcon update. Devcon install creates a root enumerated device. The second time you updated the driver with devcon install you created a second device, and this two calls to the callback

    How to check whether the device is already enumerated by the system?
