.NET Framework 3.5 License RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am planning to use .NET framework 3.5 for developing new applications.

I have got MSDN license for my development. To deploy the application on a commerical server (Win 2003) do I need to buy any separate license to install .NET Framework 3.5 on the server. Or is it free to download for commercial use.

If license is required then can you please let me know the licensing cost/model. Also point to the links where I can get more information on it.

  • Hi!

No license is required to download and use .NET Framework. You'll need one for the operating system and for the developemnt tools, but not for the framework itself.
