Remote Desktop Farm - 'Power Users' RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have a windows server 2008r2 round robin load balancing farm of 3 visualized remote desktop servers. Users are connecting to full desktops or remote apps from local windows desktops or thin client devices.

Everything tends to tick over nicely, but we have one particular application which can be quite hungry during a particular process. There are only a small subset of users from one of my departments who would use this application, so I have been wondering whether I can set these to some sort of 'Power Users' subgroup to have their connections dealt with differently by our connection broker? They will always be connecting from the same clients.

Ideally, I'd like to ensure that these power users are spread evenly between the farm member servers and deal with everyone else separately. Is this possible with a server 2008r2 farm?

Thanks for taking the time to read my question!
