  • Hi All,

    Can some one tell me if NUnit is only for the Unit testing or can this tool also be used to do Black Box testing.This is very urgent .please let me know as early as possible.

  • Hi,

    First we have to define one concept, Unit test can be white box and black box,

    White box:

    You care about the algorithm of the method and you will probably use isolation framework like (Moles, MOQ, etc..) to isolate the other dependencies from your algorithm,


    Black box test:

    You don't care about the algorithm, you only care about the method inputs and  the expected return or action


    So NUnit can be used for both white box and black box testing


    If you question mean that if NUnit can make UI testing, so the answer is no, it can't.
