Execute Test Cases in QC through VBA RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to execute Test Cases directly in Quality Center (QC) 10.0. I have one excel sheet(Sheet1) where I have all the inputs in below mentioned format:

TC ID Status Actual Result Screenshot
    1 Passed As expected
      Passed As expected
      Passed As expected
      Passed As expected
    2 Passed As expected
      Failed xxxxxx
    3 Passed As expected
      Passed As expected
        As expected

Test Cases ID's are present in A column, Status of each steps will present in B column, Actual Result in C Column & D column will contain Screenshot. Login Credential, qc server, test set path & test set name will be hard coded.

I want to perform the above mentioned action by clicking on a button from the same sheet. Any help would be appreciated!!

  • I am not familiar with QC.  Can you call a test from the command line or any programming language?  Does it have a .COM interface? As far as screenshots I use a free command line tool called Minicap that I call from VBA.
