    Hi,

    I wanted to make a custom login for windows authentication web application. FBA authentication is not configured at this web app. I followed this link http://tomaszrabinski.pl/wordpress/2015/02/23/sharepoint-2013-custom-login-page-for-form-based-authentication/ and created a custom login page.

    When i access the web app, i got the popup window as usual. After signing in by popup window i got custom login page. But unable to access the web application due to following error:

    "Could not find the specified membership provider".

    What i am doing wrong here?

    Is there a way to hide the popup window?

    Is there a example for creating login page specific for window authentication?

    Any help would be really appreciated?

    Hi,

    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to create a windows authentication custom login page and automatically log in without promote popup window.

    For the error message, I suggest you can use Fiddler to trace the detailed error message and also you can check ULS log for more information.

    For passing the popup window, you can set the Internet Explorer Setting by go to Tools -> Internet Option -> Security -> Custom Level -> Scroll the whole way to the bottom and select "Automatic Login with current user name and password” -> OK -> OK -> Close .
