Compare the signature of two assemblies? RRS feed

  • Question

  • This seems like it should be an easier task than its turning out to be.  I need to ensure that a method call is being made by a trusted assembly by ensuring that the calling assembly and executing assembly are both signed with the same key.  It appears that the easiest way to do this is to compare key tokens of the two assemblies but even that isn't as simple (or as low resource) as it should be because you have to compare byte arrays and there seems to be no built-in method of doing even that.  Does anyone know of an easy way to accomplish this?
