Building a driver-verification-tool RRS feed

  • Question

  • my goal is to build a tool in .Net that verifies if all drivers are signed.
By doing so i want to auto-detect drivers that are broken (the ones i could find by hand by looking in device-manager)
There is the tool "sigverif.exe" which can verify drivers - but it has no commandline-options.

My previous aproach was using WMI- but there are always some drivers winding up as not signed which in reality are signed. The tool dirverquery also reports unsinged drivers that are signed and not broken.

Do you have another idea for me ?

  • That means that i have to get all the filepath attributes for all drivers.
I have a similiar "solution" in place but i thought that there could be a more simple way - since something like that can be interesting for many purposes.
