A problem occurs when install KMDF driver on Win10 (Code 28) RRS feed

  • Hi,

    the driver build by WDK 7.1 and install on Win 7

    but failed on Win 10

    here is the problem message:
    "this operation requires an interactive window station"

    already try this method but not work :

    Should I build the driver by VS2017+WDK 10?

  • Something in the INF is obsolete for win10. Review your INF.

  • The first step is to look in setupapi.dev.log in c:\windows\inf for more details about the installation issues (! marks in the margins)

  • I remove obsolete .dll from .inf, and it work fine
