TOP PRIORITY: Fails logon to Windows with both PIN CODE and PASSWORD ??? RRS feed

  • Question

  •

I've had this problem some weeks ego with the PIN CODE logon - it coundn't find the security policies !

Back then I changed logon to PASSWORD and got it started.

    I then did this procedure:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

    DISM.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

    sfc /scannow

and it found NO ERRORS !

I used the PASSWORD login til today ... now it will NOT work too !

I managed to get the machine started in secure state with net and did the 4 step procedure again - NO ERRORS FOUND !

    I still can't logon !!!

I've tried   CHKDSH /F   and it found nothing wrong ... but I still can't logon - SOS ... HELP !!!!!!

I've tried a VERY BAD solution - DISCONNECT the netcable, logon and connect the cable again - and it works for a while, but the problem comes up again after some days !

What to do to correct the problem ... the "right" method ?

  • It's a little worrying that a updating to 1903 could cure the problem - but it did !

Let's see how long it will last !

  • No one got any ideas ???

My disconnecting the network cable isn't that good in the long run.

Notice that no matter what test I run NO ERRORs are found !

When I have "logged on by disconnecting" NOTHING is wrong - I can use the network ressources without problems and others on the net can "see" me too - so nothing seems wrong with my net/drivers.

But some files must slip through the tests and still be bad - HELP !!!!!!
