Metro Control Panel Won't Recognize Me As Admin

    Question

  • So I've got around to installing the preview on one of my older PCs. It's quite fast, but I seem to be having a problem.

Today, the computer felt really bogged down. So I decided to test out one of the new features: Being able to refresh your PC without affecting the files.

    Unfortunately, I keep getting this:

Is there a way I can fix this?

  • Keller,

Since your Control Panel having issue and won't let you Refresh your PC,  There are other ways to Refresh your PC.  It will reinstall Windows but keep your personal data.  Any 3rd party software will need to be reinstalled.

    1. Pressing F8 at boot takes you straight into the menu
    2. Click on Troubleshoot
    3. Click on Refresh your PC
    4. Follow on screen guide.
