Hi, im kinda new to .NET (have just been messing around for 3weeks or so). Anyhow i've found a interest in .NET DLL's and objects. I've been playing with c# windows applications with very pleasing results. Anyhow now i've gotten the idea about using these dll's at webpages, and i've figured that i can't have events in normal aspx files but might be able to have them in global.asax since there is already some events in there. I would be realy glad if someone could help me out with this. :) (object event's in global.asax)

<color="#6633cc;width:550px;">> i've figured that i can't have events in normal aspx files</color> <color="#000000;width:550px;">You have many events available to you in an ASPX page, including Init, Load, PreRender and Unload. Every server control that you place on your page also exposes events, including Init, Load, PreRender and Unload. Specialised server controls introduce further events. The Button control exposes Click and Command, in addition to Init, Load, PreRender and Unload. The DataGrid exposes CancelCommand, DeleteComman, EditCommand, UpdateCommand, and others, in addition to Init, Load, PreRender and Unload. So, you have many many many events that you can hook into. (And you can create your own, too.) The Global.asax looks like it exposes more events, only because when you create a new Global.asax file there are a number of empty event methods in which you can then add your code. A Default.aspx page, on the other hand, looks like it doesn't exposes events, because no empty event methods are there by default. However, in truth, many events are indeed exposed. To learn about these events that may seem hidden, please read: The ASP.NET Page Object Model</color>

Event's that is not triggered by the end user but from a dll in a aspx page, even when there is no user visiting the page at all? Anyhow i got my MSNbot to work built in global.asax. With event's like UserSignOn and such. :)
