Replace main image on itemdetail page grid app

Question

Using the itemDetail page in Grid App, I'm looking to have a large image with smaller, thumbnail size images lined vertically to the right.  When clicking on a smaller image, the main image populates with selected smaller image. Is there a way to do this using javascript?
