Supported API failures when updating a WinPhone 8.1 app in new dashboard RRS feed

  • Question

  • Running WACK locally reports no errors.  Before the WinStore/WinPhone dash merge we were also not seeing any errors.

When submitting an update to an app now, we see an automated non-compliance report with lots of Supported API failures, here's an example:

Error Found: The supported APIs test detected the following errors:
This API is not supported for this application type - Api=?addCallback@AsyncThread@FMOD@@QAA?AW4FMOD_RESULT@@P6A?AW43@H@Z@Z. Module=fmodex_81_arm.dll. File=fmod_event_81_arm.dll.
This API is not supported for this application type - Api=?addDSP@ChannelGroup@FMOD@@QAA?AW4FMOD_RESULT@@PAVDSP@2@PAPAVDSPConnection@2@@Z. Module=fmodex_81_arm.dll. File=fmod_event_81_arm.dll.
This API is not supported for this application type - Api=?addGroup@ChannelGroup@FMOD@@QAA?AW4FMOD_RESULT@@PAV12@@Z. Module=fmodex_81_arm.dll. File=fmod_event_81_arm.dll.

We have never seen this before.  What can we do?

  • It's failing with the same SDK that passed originally, and also with the latest SDK.  Same error codes.

  • The issue has been reported earlier. Team is working on the fix. Fix should be deployed by August 4 PST. Could you please try after that? Let us know if you still have the issue.
