The "Format the whole document" feature is not working in Visual Studio 2012 Ultimate.  Can anyone tell me how to fix that?

    Thank you in advance.

    Hello,

Make sure you don't have any errors in your source code.

Good suggestion Ruchira and thank you for the quick response.  The problem was actually a setting in VS2012.

TOOLS > Options > Text Editor > HTML > Formatting > Text wrapping > Check the box next to Wrap tags when exceeding specific length.

It's confused if your source codes is ok, you could give more information about this, or it hardly troubleshot.

Here's an example from Visual Studio 2012:

    --%>

        November 2, 2012

    <strong>Location</strong>

    Please note: The tutorial/Q&A/help
session will be held in room J-103 not 102. That's Wednesday, November 7th, at 6:30 PM, in room J-103. Most of my classes are held in 102 so I didn't want any confusion over the location.

    >End of Example<

When selecting the "Format the whole document" icon (Ctrl+K, Ctrl+D) in Visual Studio 2010, the lines would all be moved to the leftmost column, blank lines would be removed, and if a line of text was less than 80 character but continued on the next line (such as the line in the example that begins with, "Please note") the format would bring the lines together then wrap at 80 characters.

Notice in the example there are blank lines before "November 2, 2012 and October 31, 2012.

Also note that there are four extra spaces at the beginning of three of the lines in the example.

In 2010 those blank lines and extra spaces would be removed.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you for your help.
